They’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Trainee Mould Maker to join their skilled team and develop their career in this specialised trade.
Job Overview:
As a Trainee Mould Maker, you will receive comprehensive training in the production of moulds used in creating custom stone products. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for craftsmanship, attention to detail and a desire to learn and grow within the industry. You will be trained in various mould-making techniques and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation of high-quality moulds for stone casting.
- Learn to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and design specifications to produce accurate moulds.
- Prepare and maintain moulds for casting, ensuring they meet the required standards for quality and precision.
- Work with various hand and power tools to shape, form and finish moulds.
- Clean, maintain, and store moulds after use to ensure longevity and consistent performance.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance mould-making skills.
Qualifications and Skills:
- No prior experience necessary, full training will be provided, however any joinery experience or qualifications would be an advantage.
- A keen interest in learning a trade and developing a long-term career in mould making.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in mould making (advantageous but not essential).
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to lift and handle materials in a physically demanding environment.
