Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.
Our client is one of Britain’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers. Their unique feature is the combination of open and closed-die forging while also undertaking the whole production process from raw material to the finished product in one location. Operating from a 680 000ft2 facility in Sheffield, they manufacture high-integrity, open-die and closed-die forged components in nickel alloy, titanium, stainless steel and carbon alloys for customers and tier-one suppliers within the aerospace, nuclear, power generation, marine as well as oil and gas sector.
Reporting to : Test House Manager
Main Function of Job:
- Be responsible for material control throughout the testing process.
- Co-ordinate the flow of all testing work through the Internal Test Centre and External Test Houses.
- Producing of testing instructions and purchase orders in line with internal requirements as well as customer, national and international specifications.
- Arrange transport to external testing facilities where appropriate.
- Review of all Mechanical and Metallurgical Test Reports against purchase order requirements.
- Input of external results data on to Business Central.
- Highlighting non-conforming test results.
- Deputise for the Test House Manager as required

Good understanding of Mechanical/Metallurgical Testing

Competent working knowledge of Excel, Word, and other windows-based data systems.

Understanding of the requirements of ISO/IEC17025.
Experience in creation and/or review of certificates of conformity.
