Job Title Telesales Executive
Department: Commercial
Reports to: Commercial Director
Purpose of the Job:
The commercial department functions by providing quotes to customers to win work. The opportunity to quote comes from the external sales team and the newly created role of Telesales Executive.
The role of the Telesales Executive is to develop new business from existing customers and actively seek new sales opportunities by phoning builders’ merchants.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Phone the target number of accounts every day
- Understand customer needs e.g. the products they buy, lead times and prices
- Present the companies offering range e.g. products and prices
- Update customer database where necessary e.g. names, phone numbers, email addresses
- Maintain the CRM system e.g. calls made and outcomes
- Collaborate with other members of the commercial and external sales teams to identify and grow opportunities
- Any other reasonable duties as may be requested by your manager
Skills required:
- Ability to communicate effectively by phone
- Consultative selling
- Excellent ‘soft’ skills e.g. emotional intelligence, empathy, listening, adaptability, organisation.
- Strong IT skills e.g. Microsoft, CRM
