The Technical Manager will need to have an electrical background with a formal qualification in electrical installation/engineering or equivalent, along with experience dealing face to face with customers and managing a team.
In addition, having a passion about saving energy, carbon, and helping mitigate climate change is advantageous.
The Technical Manager will be responsible for:
- Growth and development of the technical department to include servicing and R&D
- Set, monitor, and deliver departmental KPI’s.
- Prepare weekly/monthly reports of progress and forecasts to internal stakeholders.
- Regularly updating own knowledge and monitoring the team’s knowledge of regulations, company products, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure all activities are fully compliant with ISO9001:2015 & ISO14001:2015
- Providing technical sales support both internally and on-site to customers, end users, and the wider sales team
- Organising and carry out professional eco-max product technical internal & external training sessions/presentations.
- Utilising and updating the CRM system for recording communications, activity, and reporting.
The Technical Manager will have the following experience, skills, and knowledge:
Essential:
- Qualification in Electrical installation/engineering
- 5 years experience working in Electrical installation/engineering.
- 5 years experience and knowledge of configuration of mains incoming distribution systems, and be able to identify type and size of incoming supplies/ Transformers / LV switchgear/ACB’s etc.
- Able to identify a site’s distribution from electrical schematics/ drawings.
- 2 years team management and reporting experience
- 2 years KPI, measuring, recording and reporting experience
- Full Driving Licence
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Desirable:
Previous Voltage Optimisation and Power Factor Correction experience would be an advantage (however, full product specification and training will be given)
Experience of working within a CRM system
Confident dealing with internal & external stakeholders at all levels
Excellent customer handling skills to support Sales with site engineers’ questions
Ambition to grow and run a busy department to exceed KPI’s.

Standard Office Hours – 08:30AM- 17:00PM Mon- Fri. Your hours will vary from these to accommodate your workload etc.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 DOE
