Our client is a well-established law firm in Leeds who specialise in a number of different practice areas and are one of the leading providers of legal services to the residential property and remortgage markets. An exciting opportunity has just arisen for a new Team Manager to join their growing Remortgage department based in Leeds.
The Role:
The Remortgage Manager will be responsible for delivering excellent client service, whilst motivating and developing others. You will impart technical knowledge to coach and develop the team. Acting as a role model using leadership, influence and drive to ensure both team and personal targets are exceeded.
Key Resonsibilities:
- Manage a busy and productive Remortgage Team
- Respond to client/service queries or complaints at the initial stages in line with the internal complaints procedure, maintain a complete and accurate file and submit reports as required in a timely fashion
- Ensure the delivery of excellent client service, whilst motivating and developing the team
- Ensure complaints are resolved in a timely manner and that colleagues are acting with professionalism at all times
- Handle relationships with Third Party Suppliers
- Deal with new work revenues (Tenders)
- Support team members to resolve complex queries using them as learning and development opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the business
- Support Head of Remortgage in annual Salary Review process and annual Budget process
Team Management & Development
- Monitor system work records to ensure that all work is progressed to meet productivity targets
- Ensure workload distribution is fair, equitable and achievable to ensure optimum team performance
- Act as role model for the team - provide exemplary customer service and drive others to do the same
- Monitor and manage individual performance, quality and productivity levels
- Recruitment & On-boarding - lead the recruitment process and oversee the on-boarding process to ensure new joiners are inducted, trained and supported appropriately
- Resource planning - schedule, and manage breaks, holidays, absence and training to ensure that the Team is adequately resourced at all times
- Address performance, attendance, time-keeping and conduct concerns promptly and in line with company policy
- Responsible for the resolution of and participation in discipline/grievance/performance processes within own department, in line with the company policy and guidance from HR team.
- Conduct return to work interviews when Team members return to work following an absence
- Conduct monthly one to one review meetings for all Team Members and facilitate regular Team meetings.
- Ensure that Personal Development Plans for all Team Members are in place, maintained and regularly reviewed
- Liaise with Training personnel to ensure all team members receive on-going coaching, training and development
- Ensure changes in procedure are communicated to the team and training is delivered were necessary
- Ensure compliance with our client's company policy and procedure at all times
- Where appropriate and as necessitated by the needs of the business undertake tasks within the operational process
- Work to and maintain Service Level Agreements
- Any other duties as required by the business
The Person:
- Extensive experience and knowledge of the Remortgage process developed within a current or previous Remortgage role
- Management experience gained in either a supervisory or Deputy Manager role or similar
- Customer focused and performance driven with a passion to create engagement within your team
- Resilience with the ability to work effectively under pressure and to strict deadlines
- Ability to flex between a wide range of tasks dependent upon business needs
- Enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to create strategies and plan
- Ability to generate an attitude of enthusiasm in self and others regarding change and challenge
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Result organised, with strong attention to detail
