An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new role as a Production Planner to aid the company in day-to-day manufacturing of safety signs and associated products

Duties and responsibilities
- Producing the most efficient and effective production schedules for the sign making production area.
- Providing documentation required by the shop floor to carry out production of the plan.
- Daily interaction with the production team to ensure they understand their manufacturing priorities
- Providing accurate and timely feedback to customer service and sales regarding the delivery of customer orders.
- Maintaining OTIF (on time in full) in line with target levels set by the General Manager
- Maintaining and reporting on stock levels of finished goods and production data in line with the policies set by the General Manager.
- Utilising the internal ERP system to provide the production targets and prioritisations
- Maintaining the planning module within the ERP system including the creation of SKU’s, the build processes and components. Includes the monitoring and maintaining status of live work orders, minimising delays and reacting to stoppages.
- Pro-actively adjusting the work schedules to suit the requirements of the day
Skills / Experience
- Experience of working in similar roles is a pre-requisite.
- Excellent IT Literacy – Excel and knowledge of other ERP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Working on own initiative and be part of a team.
- A strong personality with the ability to communicate at all levels and be approachable.
- Must be flexible in hours worked and duties performed in order to fulfil the role.
- Have a can-do attitude with a positive approach to difficult situations.
- Numerate and literate.
- Good organizer and problem solver.
- Product knowledge would be an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of formal quality systems and their’ effects.

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
