Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position.
Due to business growth, our very busy FM client is looking for an Electrical Qualifying Supervisor (FM) to join their team based at their head office in Sheffield.
This role is reporting to the FM Electrical Contracts Manager
Salary £40k + a discretionary bonus (up to 10% of salary) as part of the package.

- Review and Quality Assure the Compliance Certificates generated by their team of Electricians and Subcontractors to ensure that Tests have been carried out to the required standard and they meet regulatory requirements.
- Applies their knowledge of respective trade (Electrical) to allocated project.
- Always represent the company in a professional and positive manner to internal and external personnel.
- Build and maintain client relationships and good working practices with their Supply Chain Partners/Suppliers and engage with them to ensure they deliver works in a cost effective & timely manner and the appropriate standard of quality.
- Check Planned Maintenance WIP against certification received from their engineers and Subcontractors (NICEIC EICR’s, Job logic Fire Alarms, Emergency Lighting & PAT Test Certificates)
- Check job status and reports on subcontractor Portals to ensure their systems can be updated.
- Download relevant information from NICEIC, Job Logic and subcontractor portals and add to property ID in Planned Maintenance Visit (PMV) folder.
- Liaise with their Electricians and Subcontractors to ensure all certification is submitted in-line with expected timescales.
- Check Electrical Certificate (EICR) is satisfactory and all completed correctly and filled with dates, times, limitations and save as completed.
- Check all reports (EICR, EML, FA, PAT) are completed correctly.
- Add all certification & reports to property ID in PMV folder (certs).
- Update their internal Systems and WIP Report to ensure it accurately reflects PMV status.
- Review Test Certificates and identify Remedial Works identified.
- Compile Quotes into internal and Client Systems for any Remedial Works identified during the testing.
- Update Planned Maintenance folders in-line with process to ensure they have an audit trail for the Quality Assurance process.
- Consolidate Compliance Certificates using appropriate software to meet client requirements.
- Update Client Systems with the Consolidated Certification and Remedial Works.
- Ensure SLA’s are achieved and any KPI’s are met with plans in place to drive performance improvement where needed.
- Compile quotes based on time, material and subcontractor requirements in order to deliver the scope of work as outlined by the customers whilst also ensuring safety and legislative standards are met.
- Attend meetings with Management and colleagues.
- Ensure all jobs are logged and completed via the company CAFM system to support operational and financial performance reporting.
- Support the tender process to gain new contracts and projects with wide and diverse content.
- Compile Reports in-line with any customer and internal business requirements.
- Look to Sustainably use resources/materials and recycle where possible.
- Required to travel to various locations in order to fulfil their allocated task.
- Based in the office and expected to keep all contracts information and files (hard and electronic) up to date and in appropriate order.
- Follow instructions from Directors or Managing Director regarding schemes and scope of works; communicate these to operatives in their team.
- Undertake site audits & inspections.
- Adhere to ISO 9001/14001/45001 protocols and control measures, including facilitating audits.
- Liaise with their Health and Safety Forum and Human Resources Coordinator to engage with Learning and Development in accordance with Site Safety Regulations;
- keeping them up to date as required. Prompt others to do so.
- Manage financial budgets and expenditure to ensure cost control is in place.
- Maximise P&L performance through good commercial acumen and practice.
- Support revenue and margin growth through strong business development and maximising any opportunities available.
Personal Specification
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation & Maintenance.
- C&G 2391 or equivalent in Electrical Testing & Inspection.
- Experienced in carrying out EICR’s in commercial environments.
- Experience of maintaining client relations.
- A decisive, results focused individual with strong organisational, prioritisation and system utilisation skills.
- Ability to use own initiative, working accurately with policies and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of maintenance service across PPM’s, reactive and quoted works
- A working understanding of Electrical equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly flexible and self-driven with strong ability to manage own time
- Prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- PC literate across Excel, Power-point with experience of CAFM systems preferable
- Full Driving License
