Hours: Monday to Friday - 08.15am to 16.30 pm Mon -Thurs/16.00pm Friday

(37 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £14.55 – £16.60 per hour (DOE)
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Customer Quality Officer to join the Quality Department of a Sheffield-based engineering company on a temporary basis.
Working in fast-paced environment, while maintaining clear communication with customers, haulage providers, warehouses and plant management to assure operations meet goals and objectives.
Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Be a focal point of customer quality liaison , including managing of individual pre-defined (Prime) customer accounts, dealing with customer queries and issues, including customer complaints
- Communicating with the customer on a regular basis on the status of quality related issues to various contracts, including, but not limited to, weekly conference calls, spontaneous calls/email communications and potentially customer visits/performance reviews
- Liaise with internal departments to promote a standard of product and documentation excellence in line with customer requirements
- Review Production Orders and other quality release documents for compliance to customer purchase order requirements
- Produce customer required documentation including but not limited to:
APQP (Advanced Product Quality Plan)
PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
Deviation permits and/or concession requests
- Produce final release documentation including but not limited to:
Certificates of conformity
FAIR (first article inspection reports) packages to customer requirements
DVI Packages (Safran Industrial Validation Package)
Technological Validation Submissions (Avio Aero)
Other despatch documentation
Approved final release signatory for products
Any other duties as may reasonably be required:
- Perform internal audits to defined schedule as required.
- Be involved in external customer audits/visits as required.
- Analysis of quality and product data as required.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
- Understanding of quality procedures
- Excellent attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and windows-based data systems
