Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this permanent position
Our client is a dynamic, international business currently in 50 countries, that designs, manufacturers and installs fun, exciting, outdoor playground equipment.
The Contracts Manager will liaise with customers and will work alongside our network of Area Sales Managers, Project coordinators and Subcontractors to ensure our busy schedule of projects are delivered efficiently, safely and to a high standard, ensuring standards exceed the customers’ expectations.
Ideally located within the following areas:
- Birmingham
- Coventry
- Leicester
Previous experience in a similar role, although beneficial, is not essential and training will be provided to meet the successful candidate’s needs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Be the first point of contact for Sub Contractors/Site Managers and Clients for as long as the contract lasts.
- Project management of large or complex installations, making sure regular liaison with customer and ensuring maintenance of the scheduled installation.
- Provide support to sales team to maximise contract awards.
- Undertake pre-contract and project sign-off meetings with client.
- Liaise with the installation teams, making regular visits to site during build phases to monitor progress and resolve on site issues as arise.
- Responsibility for the completion of quality, risk, HSE and housekeeping/welfare assessments with sub-contractors whilst on site, ensuring that procedures are followed. Ensuring that the installation teams work in a safe environment and promote site safety at every opportunity
- Training sales and subcontractors to ensure they are proficient.
Skills/Experience required:
To excel in this role, the successful candidate must be customer focused and will demonstrate a keen eye for detail. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a ‘right first time’ approach. You must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated as well as working well in a team. You must have a structured approach to planning and managing your workload. A 'hands-on’ approach, flexibility and ‘can do’ attitude are also essential.
The ideal candidate will also have:
- Project management experience
- Proven skills to supervise teams
- Conversant in conducting risk assessments, H&S and quality inspections
- A good knowledge and understanding of play equipment
- Knowledge of groundworks
- Must have good knowledge of Microsoft packages - Word/Excel/Outlook
- Should be able to demonstrate understanding of what excellent customer service looks like
- Able to work on own initiative or with others on tasks with minimum supervision
- Must have clean valid driving licence
- Desirable SSSTS – Site Supervisor Safety Training scheme
A DBS check will be processed as part of the induction process.

Salary : £37,380 - £42,420 pa
