Business Development Manager
Overview:
Our client is a leading provider of innovative, energy-efficient solutions for commercial facilities. They are seeking a proactive and driven Outbound Business Development Manager to join our team in Dronfield. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities by reaching out to key stakeholders in the construction and electrical sectors, including contractors, subcontractors, and electrical wholesalers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation & Prospecting: Utilise LinkedIn, social media, and other digital platforms to identify and engage potential clients in the construction and electrical industries
- Targeted Outreach: Conduct targeted outreach to contractors, subcontractors, and electrical wholesalers to introduce products and services
- Utilise Tools for Contact Management: Leverage tools like lead gen solutions for social media and planning databases to source high-quality contact data for outreach
- Client Relationship Development: Build and nurture strong relationships with prospective clients through consistent follow-up and tailored communication strategies
- Sales Pipeline Management: Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring all leads are followed up and opportunities are maximized
- Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential market opportunities within the construction and electrical sectors
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align outreach efforts with company goals and to provide feedback from the field
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in outbound business development or sales, preferably within the construction or electrical sectors
- Strong understanding of the construction industry, particularly contractors and electrical wholesalers
- Proficiency with LinkedIn, social media lead gen solutions, and planning databases (e.g., Barber ABI or Glenigans)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence key decision-makers
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
- Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Location: Dronfield S18
- Hours: Office-based - Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week
- Salary range: £30,000 - £40,000 DOE
