Full Job Title: Brazer (Torch and Induction) – Mild Steel Pipework
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Brazer to join our client’s team on a temp to perm basis, working with a torch and to braze mild steel pipework. The role involves producing high-quality, reliable connections to pipework engineering drawings and safety standards while working efficiently within a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Brazing mild steel pipework using oxy-fuel or similar torch equipment
- Reading and working from engineering drawings and specifications
- Preparing materials, joints, and components prior to brazing
- Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and dimensional standards
- Carrying out visual inspections of brazed joints
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Working collaboratively with other workshop and production staff
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience brazing mild steel
- Confident using a torch for brazing operations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Good attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Understanding of workshop health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship
- Experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 2:30pm
