Role Overview
Our client is seeking an Assistant Technical Proposals Engineer to collaborate with, and support the sales and project teams to generate accurate quotations and project plans, increase win rate of opportunities and reduce risk related to large complex projects through comprehensive up-front-tendering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To operate at the highest professional and ethical standards at all times;
- Comply with all HSE and Quality standards.
- Meet or exceed KPI’s.
- Supporting the generation of high quality and accurate quotations in a timely manner.
- Review of information about demands and derivation of supply and proposal preparations.
- Clarification of bid conditions and management of the tender preparation.
- Monitoring of the bid management in order to ensure it is aligned with the organization's requirements.
- Contribution in cost and price calculations.
- Coordination of tender reviews and deadlines and adjust them to the frameworks given by the customers.
- Supporting and contributing to the management of the overall performance of the tender process to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organization.
- Develop and manage tools for capturing and communicating project complexities at preproduction stages (tendering and pre-production engineering).
- Effective liaison, support and assistance between tender process department and rest of organization.
- Supporting the reporting of opportunity/tender activity on a weekly basis.
- Supporting the development plans for streamlining tender processes.
- Providing support to all other departments with tender-related issues.
- Assist in the development and preparation of the organisation’s tender process strategy and general business planning.
- Maintain accurate records and adhere to all organisation policies and procedures.
- Interact and co-operate with all members of the organisation and its suppliers and customers.

Person Specification – Skills & Knowledge:
- Highly motivated.

- Good understanding of tender process management, requirements and dynamics.
- Experience with Sage is preferential.
- Experience with Salesforce is preferential.
- An aptitude for tender process management and customer/supplier relationship management.

- A desire to improve products/systems/processed rather than accepting the status quo.
